Hi everybody,

We have this error in the dataminer console related to WMIqueryThread for windows server element but we don't know if this kind of error can affect the enviroment.

At the moment we stopped the element but the alarm remains open.

Best,

Hi Ricaurte,

A WMIQueryThread is unique for an element, so unless it's in a deadlock with another thread, there's not much impact on the rest of the system. Since this is the only thread problem you seem to have, the system should be stable. Restarting the element may even get the element working with a new thread as well.

However, a follow-up task should be made to follow up why this functionality is failing. Can you use the log collector tool to create a memory dump of the SLProtocol process this element was running in, so we can investigate why the thread is currently stuck? Providing an export of the element (.dmimport) can also be a helpful addendum. Support should be able to assist you with collecting this data and crate a task.
