Hi, I would like to confirm whether switching from 10.3 FR to 10.3 MR as simple as applying the upgrade package? (or is there more to consider)

For example:
We have a DMA that is running '10.3.7.0 - 13107' FR.
We want to switch to '10.3.0.0 - 13184 CU5' MR.

Do we just apply the upgrade the '10.3.0.0 - 13184 CU5' package found here: https://community.dataminer.services/download/dataminer-main-release-10-3-0-0-13184-cu5/ ?

hi Bing, i am not very familiar with FRxMR, but sounds logic that if you are using Feature release, you have a license for that, when you switch, you will need another license (just keep that in mind).

Thanks Danielle, for pointing that out from licensing perspective.

Hi Bing,

Indeed, going from a Feature Release (FR) to a Main Release (MR), is as simple as executing the upgrade package of the desired version you want to go to.

In your case you're technically doing a downgrade, since the version decreases a little bit, then you have to make sure the option 'replace all files' in the upgrade tool remains enabled (it is enabled by default, so you should be good if you just select the package and click upgrade).
