Stuck Alarm in a Function

Hi Dojo,

We have some Enhanced Services, with functions, and on the functions we have some stuck alarms, that don’t appear in the console, but affect the overall status. The alarms can be seen under the General Parameter section of the function, but not in Alarms.  Does anyone know how I can clear these?

Hi Dave,

Have you tried restarting these function elements? It’s likely that this will remove the stuck alarms, for now.

I browsed through our Release Notes and found a potential match to what might be going on here, depending on the DataMiner version you’re currently running, and if you’re using hysteresis on your alarm template. See RN36024 – fix available starting from DataMiner versions 10.2.0 [CU15] / 10.3.0 [CU3] / 10.3.6.

Nevertheless, this potential software issue should be further investigated, so I’d recommend you forward your question to techsupport@skyline.be (including a log collector package, please). Thank you.

Hi Tiago,

We believe that you are correct in your diagnosis. We did indeed discover that the issue wasn't present when we removed hysteresis from the alarm template.
On the DMA where we have this issue, we are still running 10.3.4, so that would make sense if was fixed in 10.3.6
