Is there any info on if DataMiner supports the use of ScyllaDB instead of CassandraDB for dedicated cluster storage?
It is supposed to be a drop-in replacement for Cassandra 3.11, with "additional features from Cassandra 4.0" but there are a few 4.0 features it lacks:

Curious if there are any positive or negative experiences with this?
Hi Nick,
Although it might be a drop-in replacement for Cassandra, our test and validation platforms are not using this database. Therefore, this database is not supported because we cannot be sure that everything will work fine with it and that it will continue to work fine tomorrow.
I would also highly recommend looking at STaaS instead of Cassandra/OpenSearch for future storage. There are only advantages with using STaaS. When you connect your system to STaaS, you have zero work to set this up, no need to build a huge, redundant database taking the worst-case scenario in to account, and you never have to think about storage again. STaaS comes immediately with a scalable and reliable storage solution, build upon cloud native storage of Azure (it doesn't use Cassandra/OpenSearch). With STaaS you win so much time, and it results in a better and more stabable storage solution with the highest standards in terms of security, reliability and redundancy. And all of this is cheaper because you only pay for what you effectively use. This is a no-brainer for me, I never want to go back to maintaining those databases myself...
