I have a script that controls two Nevion Switches simultaneously on our DMS. This is for a customer however and they access through our DMZ-DMA but I have discovered that scripts are not available on our DMZ-DMA and there is no 'Automation' APP installed the system. I have emailed our technical team but as it's the weekend I just wondered if someone out in the woder world knew if its possible to run a script on the DMZ-DMA?
Hi Kris,
Difficult to give an accurate answer without having access to the system to see how things are configured, but based on what you say, I would guess that there are two possibilities.
1. The security is configured in a way that Automation is not available for those customers connecting to that DMZ-DMA. That would explain why it seems like no Automation App is installed on the system, while it's just security which is tighten down.
2. The DMZ-DMA is not in a cluster with the other DMAs. If it's not in the same cluster, then the DMZ-DMA won't have the automation scripts available from the main cluster. It is possible that the DMZ-DMA is only e.g. replicating some elements and services to make those available for those customers without giving access to automation scripts.
In both cases, it is probably a design choice which has been made by your technical team... That would be my guess at least.
