After uploading an incorrect function file for the Tandberg RX1290 (parent was not defined, and wrong function names) I've now corrected the issues and uploaded the new file.
I'm using the same parent guids now as the RX8200 and the NS2000 but in the service definition it's still not showing under the same parent function.
I tried a restart of DataMiner, but it didn't help.
What's the best way to force the fuctions under the parent? Where is this information stored?
Can you confirm the interfaces (including guids) of the Decoding and Descrambling system functions (parents) and RX1290 functions are identical? If not, the RX1290 functions will not be assigned to the parent.
Did you try to remove the function protocol folders (e.g. C:/Skyline DataMiner/Protocols/xxxx.Demodulating) + the .txf files in the ServiceManager folder?
When you do that and restart DataMiner, it recreates those protocol folders for you.
That helped for me in the past...
Unfortunately it’s not enough.
I also tried removing the function files for the Tandberg and then loading them again, but to no success
That was indeed an issue. After fixing that yesterday evening it was not yet ok, but overnight it then corrected itself, so perhaps it only needed a refresh after the fix.
