Hi,

is there an way to read/parse log files with the excisting connectors under windows?

We have an applciation that needs monitoring and we can find the relevant triggers in an log file but there seems no straight forward way to read/trigger on this from the microsoft connector.

Hi Gerwin,

Currently the Microsoft Platform connector does not have the possibility to read log files located in the monitored server. Just to double check, could you confirm that this application is not able to generate events? If this application generate events, we could capture them using the Microsoft Platform connector (querying the event viewer).

I had a look at the catalog and a possible option could be using the Generic File Explorer connector. This connector allows you to copy files from remote folders. For example you can copy log files from the remote server to the DMA for further processing.

Hope it helps.

Unfortunally it doesn’t generate system events. We’ll have look into the connectors.
