After playing around on Empower with the RAD manager we wanted to try it on our staging system (10.5.3) as well. However we ran into some script issues
Error trapped: Could not create instance of datasource ‘IGQIDataSource: RelationalAnomalyGroupsDataSource.RelationalAnomalyGroupsDataSource.RelationalAnomalyGroupsDataSource.RelationalAnomalyGroupsDataSource’: The datasource with ID IGQIDataSource: RelationalAnomalyGroupsDataSource.RelationalAnomalyGroupsDataSource.RelationalAnomalyGroupsDataSource.RelationalAnomalyGroupsDataSource does not exist (anymore).
Looking at that script and validating that on the agent i;ve got errors related to:

MADGroupinfo
GetMADParameterGroupInfoMessage
GetMADParameterGroupInfoMessage
GetMADParameterGroupInfoResponseMessage
Could not be found
Is this something added in 10.5.4 or are we missing something?

Indeed, this app uses calls that are only available from DataMiner 10.5.4 onwards. These were added with RN 42181.

we are guided by the main release and are currently at 10.5.0.0-16086. Does this mean that we can only use RAD Manager as a feature from 10.6.x.x onwards, as it will then also exist as a feature in the main release?

You are absolutely correct that, since you are on the main release track, you will see the first appearance of RAD in our upcoming 10.6 main release!

it was nice meeting you at empower! Great to hear you were trying to play around with this! The use cases you guys sent were really interesting.
As you discovered, the RAD app only works from 10.5.4 onwards, but despite this, RAD is already in the software! It’s just that there is no UI to set it up and you would need to define the group in an xml file on your hard drive: check out “C:\Skyline DataMiner\Analytics\RelationalAnomalyDetection.xml”
