Hi All,

I have a huge list of services. It will be easier to ‘NOT’ alarm certain IDXs.

How do I do this please?

An example of an IDX is ‘G2-TECH-EDGE-1B/test/test’.

Can I do this with ‘Conditional Monitoring’?

And how do I do this?

Hi Mark

You should be able by duplicating the row in your alarm template. The first ones should contain the key you want to exclude and make sure that row is not checked for alarming. Then under this one make sure you have a row with key “*” which should be checked for alarming, see example below.

DataMiner goes always top down over all the rows and as soon as it finds a matching row for alarming, it’ll apply it and will not go over the rest of the rows in the alarm template. So in this case it’ll alarm all rows except for the ones you specified first.
