Hi,

I have added two new columns to a table. I have attached them to the right hand side of the table for some reason, the new columns are attached to the left. Please see below for the Table Editor from Visual Studio and the actual outcome. Please advise what could have been wrong here thanks.

Hi Paul,

From DataMiner 10.4.0 [CU11]/10.5.0/10.5.2 onwards, changes to the column layout are saved automatically for each user. In earlier versions, you could manually save a custom column layout with the Save layout option in the right-click menu of a table header. This includes the width, position, and visibility of the columns. The layout will be saved in your personal settings and applied to all elements using this same protocol.

This is linked to the Release Note 41608.

Updating the protocol will not make any changes to this layout and will like you see put them in an incorrect place.

You can reset the layout by right clicking on the table and select the "Reset layout" shown below.

Hi Thomas, thanks for your reply.

Just to clarify, does that mean that no matter what position we add the new columns to a table, they will always be displayed first (i.e. left hand side of the table) until each user does the 'Reset layout'?

Hi Paul,

For an element that was existing and then the protocol gets updated to the one you made. Yes that is the only way currently.
