New Fancy Cube

Good afternoon.

We have a DaaS solution with multiple users connecting to it. Only some users are able to access the new, really nice looking, cube interface even with everyone connecting to the same Server version. It looks like our launcher versions are the same at 10.6.2549 but client versions differ is there something we can do to also access the latest Client version? According to the users being able to access the new version they did not do anything specific to access it. We can for example all see the new version on Ziine but not everyone has it when connecting to any of our 3 DaaS deployments.

I love the new look as well! It’s sleek, fresh, and really elevates the whole experience!

Hi Johannes,

First of all, I'm happy to read you like the updated look & feel.

By default, Cube updates automatically, and this is done in batches and in respect to the track you have configured (Upgrading DataMiner Cube | DataMiner Docs).
At this point the 'new fancy Cube' 🙂 should only be accessible on the preview track. It will take still a couple of weeks until it's publicly available for everyone.

We are rolling out internally already, so connecting to our Ziine platform will indeed download the new version and then I would indeed expect that it can be used on other systems as well, at least if they are configured to use the auto-updating cube (in system center).
When right-clicking the tiles in the launcher you should get the different versions listed that are compatible with the Agent of the tile. You can maybe compare the differences between the users?

Good morning Pieter,

Thank you. This makes sense now, it was the Skyline team that shared their screen while connecting to one of our DaaS instances that got us all excited for the new release, we indeed do not have the option to use the "Preview" update track. We will be patiently waiting then :). And well done to everyone this looks great!

Oh yeah, that makes sense then indeed. Thx for confirming, we release on March 20th and the Cube auto updates will get pushed shortly after.
During the Empower conference, participants will also get the exclusive preview and first hands-on experience with the new Cube 🙂

@Pieter,

Is March 20 also the date we expect to see the Dataminer 10.6 installer available for download?

Hi Johannes,

Maybe you are on different Cube update tracks?
