Hi,

What would be the equivalent in Cube of the Multiple Column Sort option from System Display?

Thanks in advance,

Hello Ciprian,

From 9.6 on (RN18780), all type of dynamic tables will now indicate the initial sorting, as defined for the table parameter in the driver.

The table parameter definition sorting will be indicated as arrow(s) on the columnheader. Multiple sort will be indicated. As soon as any columnheader is clicked, Cube will resort to single column sorting.

    • In case of non-partial tables, sorting fallback to primary key column ascending will be used.
    • In case of partial tables, no sorting fallback is used. Since sorting is done on the full table results, the Cube will automatically indicate no longer showing any table data updates and providing the option to clear the sorting.

In case we want to support multiple sorting from data display, a new feature could be requested.

Kind regards,

Karl
