I'd like to find out if the server monitoring drivers (e.g. Microsoft or Linux) can monitor GPU usage metrics?

Thanks.

Hi Andrew,

  • The Linux Platform connector currently does not provide information about GPU metrics.
  • For Microsoft Platform connector you could use the performance counters available in the page 'Performance Monitor'. In the page 'Config Performance Counters' you could add one of the following categories related to GPU metrics:

Please keep in mind that you will first need to press the button 'Refresh Categories' to have the category list populated.

Hope it helps.

Hi Miguel,

Thanks for the update. Does this require a new version of the Windows Platform connector?

Miguel Obregon [SLC] [DevOps Catalyst] commented 8th September 2023

Hi Andrew,
This feature is available in the main driver range (1.1.3.x)
Currently the latest version is 1.1.3.17
Please could you let me know which version are you currently using?

Andrew Teoh [DevOps Member] commented 11th September 2023

Hi Miguel,

The version I’m currently using is 1.1.3.14. I don’t see the GPU categories in the Category list even after clicking on “Refresh Categories” multiple times.

The GPU installed on my server is the Nvidia A4000. Does the performance parameters need to show up on the server’s Task Manager for DMA to monitor?

Thanks.
