Monitoring App / Dashboard: “execute” shape data is working?

Hi Dojo,

I have been under the impression that in Dashboards as well as in the Monitoring app visual overviews could easily be displayed, however the functionality of shapes which include "execute" shape data (to set a parameter or to execute a script) was not given. Hence, it was not possible to use such shape buttons the same way they could be used in Cube.

Now today I realized that this indeed seems to work, as long as there is no confirmation message defined (because such a message includes a pop-up window which obviously is not possible within the HTML5 environment within the browser, I assume?). Therefore, such shapes working with a confirmation message imply to be functional (by showing a mouse-over behavior), but actually nothing happens when they are clicked. And shapes without a confirmation message actually are functional!

So basically my question is: is this new? When has this been introduced? Or have I been under some false impression, and this was indeed the behavior for a long time already?

Thanks for enlightening me!

As far as a I know we have not intentionally changed anything to this behavior. Mobile Visual Overview has always had limited support compared to the Cube version, so this might indeed be one of those missing functionalities.

Apologies for the inconvenience.
