MediaOps Live : ConnectionHandler

Hi,

I've been working through the tutorial to create an IP matrix with control surface and have got the example working. I'm interested in making my own connection handler for a different set of devices (in my example I'm using Aperi) whilst following the guidelines on DataMiner services but for some reason the control surface doesn't seem to invoke my connectionhandler script. The script name has _ConnectionHandler at the end but it only seems to work when I give it the same name as the tutorial file. Is there  setting somewhere that tells Control surface which script to use?

Thanks

Sion

Hi Sion,

ConnectionHandler script should be placed under MediaOps>ConnectionHandlerScripts folder in the Automation module . Is that the case ?

Did you add the "Action" and "Input Data" arguments to your Automation script ?

Is the script listed in the Connection Handler Scripts Table from the Mediation Element ?

Is your Aperi Element listed in the Mediated Elements Table from the Mediation Element ?

KR,

Hi Emmanuel, thank you for your quick response.

For the first two points, yes I did that. The latter two points I wasn't aware of to be honest. Is that referenced in the online documents?

Thanks

Sion

You don't need to take any actions for the last 2 points; this is just to understand where the issue could reside. If everything works well, the 2 tables will be automatically populated
