Manually (re)trigger a DELT import

Solved1.29K views18th July 20239.6 DELT import elements migrate elements

On one of our clusters (which is quite heavily loaded) we are facing some issues with the element migration.

The DELT Export and Delete part has been done, the DELT import massage was send to the target DMA, but due to the load on the cluster and especially SLNet the message was not processed.

Resulting in the element being unavailable now.

Is there a way to manually trigger the DELT import on the target cluster? What’s the best way to proceed?

Thanks

Hi,

There should be a .dmimport file in the C:\Skyline DataMiner\System Cache\DELT\Export from around the time you tried to migrate.

You can use this to reimport the element using Cube (right-click a view -> Actions -> Import).

After that, the element will be available again.

I actually tried, that, but it seems the import process is not triggered or provides any feedback.

After 30 min still only a blank pop-up box

Turns out the DELT export feature is not exporting all info required for the import function to work.

Doing a manual import seems to be the only way so far to fix the missing elements.
