Hello everyone, hope y'all are well!! Could someone help me with this error in the LCA Map Component.

This error keep occuring and don't load the markers on the map. This problem occurs in pages and panels. Other page on the same LCA has a map component that works fine, but that one doens't.

The translation of the text is: "This page did not load Google Maps correctly"

Hi João,

The maps component can show this error when the API key for Google Maps isn't correctly configured. The key can be missing, have no associated billing account, ... . More info about how the key can be correctly configured on DataMiner side can be found in the docs. Info about the Google Maps side can be found here.

Hi Woult, thank you for your reply.

The problem, however, seems to be specific to this new map component, which is being rendered in a panel. Even when I try adding it to a page, the same error occurs.

I have another map component on a different page that displays this message, but the markers remain on the map after I click 'OK'.

Could this be a limitation of LCA? Is it possible that the system is limited to only one map component? Or is it because I don't have a API key configured, so a i can only have 1 active map component?

Wout Mahieu [SLC] [DevOps Catalyst] commented 4th September 2025

Our software doesn't limit the amount of map components you can use. Since you are not using a (valid) API key, there are however restrictions applied by the Google Maps API itself. I couldn't find specifics about this but is seems that loading multiple maps components without API key doesn't fully work. You will have to get a valid key to make this work correctly.

Thank you Woult, i'll try to get a valid API key and see if that's the case. I'll give you a feedback!

Hi Wout, the problem was indeed related to the API Key.
