Issues with setting up sounds for Alerter

I'm trying to setup Alerter for the first time and get sounds to play when new alarms come in (following this guide: Setting the notification options in Alerter | DataMiner Docs), but I'm not hearing any sound effect that I apply to it. I made sure to make it so if any type of alarm is played, it should activate the sound effect.

I also made sure that Windows Media Player (legacy) is installed.

Hi Micah,

Make sure that a baloon is shown when you expect the audible alert to be played. You can configure the conditions to show the baloon in the "Filter" tab in the settings :

If the severities are not sufficient you can add an alarmfilter as well:
