Is there a plan to make GRPC the default communication method between DMA’s in a cluster?

If there is a plan to make it the default method, what version of DataMiner will this be implemented in?

We added it as a feature in 10.3 and we know .NET Remoting is EOL and is the default method.

Hi Shawn,

Please see the answer from Bert in this question : CUBE Client comms – gRPC vs Eventing vs Polling – DataMiner Dojo.

“We expect to change the default communication type to gRPC in the 10.5 lifecycle.”

As per Starting which Maintenenace Release version gRPC will be the default? – DataMiner Dojo, you can still make gRPC the default by modifying the ConnectionSettings.txt file.
