Is Dataminer 10.2 with local MySQL DB fully supported on Windows 2022?

Hi,

I’ve read this statement, which basically says Yes: https://community.dataminer.services/windows-server-2022-fully-supported/

But, when I check our local MySQL DB version – I find it is running version 5.5.27. And according to MySQL this version is only supported up until Windows 2016

https://www.mysql.com/support/supportedplatforms/database.html

Could someone confirm this?

Thanks 🙂

Hi Jan-Terje,

Whilst Oracle/MySQL have their own support schedule and official compatibility, we have the combination of MySQL 5.5.27 and WIn Server 2022 running in our lab and have no know issues to report.

I would remind you however that our support for MySQL as a local DB in general has ended. The current plan is to go to full end of life status later this year as of DataMiner 10.4.x. So 10.4.x will no longer ship with this compatibility, but existing DM versions that are still supported at that time (e.g 10.3.x), will still work with MySQL after that date until they in turn are no longer supported versions.

See: https://community.dataminer.services/3rd-party-software-support-life-cycle/

And: https://community.dataminer.services/dataminer-supported-versions-lifecycle/
