Hi,
I have a test Correlation Rule that is configured to be triggered by Information Events. I have the "Accept information events" checkbox ticked. However, from my testing I couldn't get the correlation rule to be triggered by information events.
FYI - for testing purpose I configured the alarm template to generate the information events when the test params change value.
What have I done wrong?
Thanks.
Hi Trong,
In the screenshot I noticed that you have the option 'Trigger on single events. Don't maintain active tree status' unchecked. Since you are working with information events, this option should be checked.
In your alarm filter it is better if you include these extra options:
- Severity: Information
- Value: The value that is displayed in the information event when the value of the monitored parameter changes
In 'Actions', instead of creating a new alarm, is it possible to set the parameter to the value that will generate an alarm?
Thanks Miguel, it works. But I had to do all the things that you suggested to make it work. i.e. tick the “Trigger on single events…”, include Severity and Value in the alarm filter. And, it only works when the Action is to set a parameter. It doesn’t work when the Action is to generate an alarm – but I can work with that.
Hi Trong, can you share the rest of the details for the alarm template entries?
Did you enable alarming for those parameters or not?
