I’m working with the IPD module, and I have a scenario where I have different locations that will impact on the name of the discovered devices.
Now the idea to place the right name for them, is to create different CI Types, where the name suggested will be different based on the, same thing also for the view where to allocate the new elements.
My question is if there is no way to have a provisoning with come logic condition to not create one CI Type for location?

I am not sure if this is exactly what you are after but you could check the Keywords and Placeholders section of our IDP Docs.
With it, you can build the proposed element name with certain keywords like IP address or even refer to other parts of your CI Type, so it could be possible to dynamically generate the element name.
If the existing placeholders and keywords are not working for you, feel free to make a suggestion on what could be added.
