DataMiner adds a lot of value based on the integrations with Hub and terminals. This applies to Velocity as well as any other system.

In terms of the datasets, DataMiner collects configuration information, RF and IP stats (per QoS group) from the hubs as well as the terminals. Adding to this, DataMiner also integrates with the hub IP and RF infra, as well as remote terminal access ports (if configured to be accessible). The latter allows DataMiner to access KPI's on user Eth or Wifi ports. This wealth of data (digital twin of your network and service) serves a lot of use cases as you can imagine

• Ground station availability and performance monitoring - trouble shooting and automated switchover (geo redundancy)
• End-user Experience monitoring (UEx) : reporting of IP rates in and outbound, trending bitrates, IP jitter, ...
• Network QoS monitoring : RF (levels / Eb/No, ... also over time) and IP (throughput & jitter). The raw metrics measured in hub and collected from each individual terminal can be aggregated (min/max/average/...) e.g. per carrier, per transponder, per location, etc etc. This is extremely powerful to pinpoint outages fast, but also to detect and report degradations pro-actively
• Using all the data, many operational workflows can be automated and made smarter in DataMiner : automated network (hub) and terminal provisioning and configuration, planned maintenance on field terminals, automated trouble ticket generation, problem management, and much more

Remark that the above use cases become even more valuable in case DataMiner also uses information from wheather forecasting, sun outage forecasting, EIRP maps, and much more : those are all data sources that can be used to make operations more convenient and effective than before. And indeed, it starts with the hub API integration.
