How to read the last run result of a run-once Scheduler task from an Automation script?

Hi,

I create run-once Scheduler tasks (ScheduleOnce) that execute an Automation script. The script calls engine.ExitFail(...) on error, and in Cube > Scheduler > List the Last runtime result column correctly shows “One or more of the task actions failed” vs. “The operation completed successfully”.

I need to read this result from another Automation script. I tried:

  • Skyline.DataMiner.Core.Scheduler.Automation.Scheduler → GetSchedulerTasksByFilter(...)
  • engine.SendSLNetMessage(new GetInfoMessage(InfoType.SchedulerTasks)) → GetSchedulerTasksResponseMessage.Tasks

In both cases the returned Skyline.DataMiner.Net.Messages.SchedulerTask has LastExecuteResult, LastRunTimeand NextRunTime empty/null, and Executed = 0, for both failed and successful tasks (all Finished = true, Enabled = false).

Which call or message does Cube use to get the Last runtime result, and is it available from an Automation script? Or is it not kept for finished run-once tasks?

Hi Miloš,

You could try using the GetStatus() method to obtain the runtime details of your scheduled tasks, as explained by Pedro in this question: IDmsSchedulerTask properties return empty.

Hope this helps.
