How to get rid of duplicate alarm property?

Solved860 views7th February 2022alarm properties cluster

In Cube, a message which indicates there is a duplicate alarm property present, regularly pops up.

The PropertyConfiguration.xml file indeed lists two duplicate entries (same type, id and name).

What is the advised way to get rid of this, and can we do so without a full cluster restart?

Ruben,

I believe the only way to remove this entry is manually editing the PropertyConfiguration.xml and then on that same DMA you did the edit go to the System Center > Tools > synchronization

For type select file and fill in:

C:\Skyline DataMiner\PropertyConfiguration.xml

Click on the button "Sync Now" at the bottom.

There is a message (DeletePropertyConfigMessage) to delete an entry on the property configuration, but since you mention both of them have the identical ID it would remove both entries in the configuration.
