Hello
I was wondering how flexible is Dataminer in the matter of being able to customize the alarms that arrive to the platform and send them to other 3rd party through it's NB interface?
Suppose we want to change messages and give more "intelligence" than just forwarding "pure" and "raw" alarms.
Any features / suggestions? How flexible is the platform?
Are the "information templates" feature useful for this?
Thank you.
Best regards

Bruno,
you could use service and service definitions and correlation to send more User Friendly alarms and statuses of metrics of your interest.
In our experience, raw alarms are not enough sometimes. You gotta correlate them in chains or something that makes more sense if your interest is to have an equipment ecosystem monitored.
RCA is also the way to go.
Of course, Skyline experts are the way to go, and the Dataminer TV and courses have a lot to contribute to that.
From my point of view, i have not seen anything so flexible as Dataminer when you combine all the features listed here.
Best regards
Bruno,
Euler went to the heart of the matter. Processing "raw" alarms is not enough and there are multiple methods to augment content and pattern detections in DataMiner.
The next step is to understand the context in which to enrich the information in DataMiner as well as trigger actions such as share contextual information to other systems, via API, ticket gateway, dashboards, teams, etc.
We will be glad to link you with one of our SMEs (Subject Matter Experts)
