Failover MySQL initial sync status?

Have there been any updates to make it possible to see the state of the initial MySQL synchronization after configuring Failover? When configuring Failover starting with a DMA that has a significant sized database that may take many days to completely sync to the new backup DMA, how can the user determine if the sync is still in progress or has finished to know when it is safe to test failover switches or restart either DMA,

Thanks

Is this of help, Jeff?

Not really. The count values never really match up for us and without knowing if the system is still attempting to synchronization the database you can’t tell if the sync failed or is just not yet complete. It is very important to know if synchronization is still in progress so you don’t do anything that could interfere with it. Below is a screen shot of a system a few hours after configuring Failover and it basically stayed like this for 4+ days with the counts just incrementing. At the bottom (highlighted) it stated “Syncing” and I do not remember seeing this in the past so I am wondering if this can be used as an indication that the initial sync is still in progress.

Having issue attaching the image

Does anyone have an answer regarding the image I attached regarding the highlighted “Syncing..” text. Is this an accurate indication that the system is still synchronizing?
