Export an element in DataMiner

Hi,

We are doing some element exports with our customer and have noticed something interesting.

1)When we do the element export on the DMA that is hosting the element, we get the export completed, and the messages list the data that is being exported, as shown in the image below.

2)When we do the export of the same element on a DMA different to the one hosting the element, we also get the export completed, however we don’t get the messages of the data being exported as shown in the image below:

Is the same data being copied over? Is there any good practice in terms of element exports?

Thanks in advance,

Cheers!
Carlos

I did a quick test and could verify the behavior.

The generated packages are the same though, and both contain the database data.

The progress notifications “Exporting data of type: XXXX” are being generated on the DataMiner Agent which is hosting the element, so there appears to be an issue with forwarding these to the agent through which the Cube client is connected.
