When creating or importing an automation script via the Cube UI, it is not possible to create a script with the same name as an existing script, since they are all in the same folder on the hard drive.
However, when uploading an automation script using the application installer packet, it is possible to have several scripts with the same name, given that their <Folder> element has a different value than the existing script. I have not verified what happens with the existing script, I assume that it is simply replaced by the new file.
Are you aware of this behavior, and has this possibly been corrected in a later DataMiner version?
Hi Tobias,
As you're indicating , we don't support scripts with same name and there is no plan to change this.
I'm not fully sure to understand your use case and what you would like us to fix ?
Could you provide more details on how you generate your 'application installer packet' ? Can you explain how you conclude that it works when using different folder and not when using the same folder ?
Hi Tobias,
I see that this question has been inactive for some time. Do you still need information about this? If so, could you reply to Emmanuel’s questions so we can help you further?
