Does Export > DELT work on DMA Clusters?

I'm trying to moved services from on DMA to another on our cluster. I've tried 'Action > Export > DELT' on the original DMA and 'Action > Import > DELT' on the destination DMA.  However since they are all in the same cluster the destination DMA already has the service present, although hosted by the other DMA.  After completing the process the service on the destination DMA still reports the service as being hosted on the original DMA.

Am missing something?

Hi Kris,

What you're describing is the process of migrating elements. To migrate elements you could follow this guide to achieve your goal.

Behind the scenes, the system will use either swarming or DELT, depending on your cluster configuration. If swarming is enabled, it will be preferred because it offers several advantages. Otherwise, the system will perform a DELT-based export and import, with one key difference: the element being migrated is removed before the DELT import begins.

Since you are doing this with a service, I'm not sure if the "element migration" window will show that service.
As a workaround, you can perform the following steps: DELT export the service (make sure the export succeeded!), remove the service, DELT import the service on the other DMA.

When you get a pop-up if you want to replace the elements, you can choose the "Don't import"-option since your goal is to only migrate the service itself (I suspect you might already have migrated all the necessary elements).

Hope this helps!

Kind regards,
