Does DataMiner support the use of FQDN instead of IP as Agent IP?

I have a NAT setup on the new DMAs added to the cluster, however, I want to make an adjustment to this setup to use of FQDN instead of IP. Does DataMiner supports the use of FQDN instead of IP?

Using the FQDN will allow us to be able to setup another IP in the host file to point to the NAT address for several DMAs. Do you have any other suggestions on how I can achieve that?

Hi Christine,

Currently there are still some known issues with using hostnames for the connections between DMAs. By extension the same applies to FQDNs.
We’re hoping to resolve this in an upcoming release in the next few months.

As it stands we have no other suggestions or workarounds to achieve the networking setup that you’re describing. So here I’m afraid a bit more patience will be needed for the version that will allow this.
