Hi,
I was wondering: is it possible that certain users can see a hyperlink (see screenshot below) appearing in the right-click menu and other users (belonging to another group and as a consequence entitled to other permissions) do not? 🤔
And if so, which permission is configuring this? In this way, I would be able to help fix it. 🤗
In the documentation on these hyperlinks, I did not find an indication. And in the permission-configuration in the System Center, I see "allow add or update hyperlinks", but not something called "allow to view hyperlinks".
Hi Joachim,
Do the hyperlinks contain a "filterElement" attribute? If so, the hyperlinks will only be shown for certain elements, and visibility may depend on if the user has access to those elements or not. See https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Reference/Skyline_DataMiner_Folder/More_information_on_certain_files_and_folders/Hyperlinks_xml.html for more info on the hyperlinks and possible options.
Hi Michiel,
That’s actually a very good suggestion. I will investigate this further with the user. I also shared the link to this Dojo Question to make the user familiar with this helpful community of experts available at his fingertips.
