I have a DM cluster running DM10.2.5 and SRM package 1.2.22
In 1 maintenance window I need to upgrade to DM10.2.7 and SRM package 1.2.24.
The goal is to keep the amount of restarts/downtime as low as possible.
I can't install DM10.2.7 directly, because it is not supported by SRM1.2.22 (blocked by installer).
SRM1.2.24 is not supported on DM10.2.5 (but I'm not sure if it will be blocked?)
The fastest way I can now see is to first install SRM1.2.22 CU2, then DM10.2.7 and then SRM1.2.24
But this would off coarse require 3 DM restarts. Is there any faster solution?
Will the SRM upgrades in the future always need a DM restart? As already mentioned in this question, there are package types that do not require a restart of DM.
You can install SRM 1.2.24 and then DM 10.2.7, no need for the intermediate step.
For the future we are working in delivering both in the same package.
