Display an excel file by clicking on a Visio button

Hi Dojo !

On my DMS i want to open (read only) an xlsx file with a click on a button on my Visio Visal Overview.

My xlsx file is already on Dataminer General Documents.

How can I do that ?

Hi,

I am not sure if this is possible.

To open a file when clicking a button, you can use the shape data Link (Linking a shape to a program or a file). However, this action runs the program on client side, which means that the file should be available in the client PC.

Is the file available in SharePoint? If this is the case, rather than uploading the file to the DMA you could create a link to the file location in SharePoint. Next, in Visio you can crate a link to the file.
