Database changes between DataMiner 9.6 and DataMiner 10 (and Main Releases in general)

DataMiner Users inquired about the MySQL Database changes between DataMiner 9.6 and DataMiner 10 in order to ensure that their Central DB would not be affected after an update.
Having checked the Release Notes, there was e.g. the addition of the Mask States table as well as a change to the keys of the alarm properties, but this already took quite a bit of looking around.

Are there any other changes we need to keep in mind?
Are there any naming conventions we can search on in the Release Notes?

No structural changes were made to the central database tables between 9.6 and 10.0.

Note that the maskstate table is only applicable to the local databases (Cassandra or MySQL/MSSQL). Central database does not have a maskstate table.

The keywords “central db” and “central database” are usually used in the release notes with changes related to the central database, but this is not guaranteed.

In future 10.0 cumulative updates there might be some changes to the trend data stored in the central database. Some special status points will be removed, but this will be documented and you will be notified before this change goes live.
