Dashboard Node Edge Labels

Solved909 views14th March 2024Dashboard Label node-edge

Hello everyone,

I noticed that when using the Node edge graph in a Dashboard I sometimes get Labels with the current value on the edges. All edges are set to analytical mode in this case.

I want those Labels to be either present on all edges, or not at all, but they seem to be enabled with distance and seemingly at random. Is there any way to control this?

Also, if you drag two nodes on top of each other the edges to all but one node seem to disappear. Is this an expected behaviour? Also is there a solution for the coloring in this case?

Best Regards,

Robert

Hi Robert,

Whether or not the label should be displayed in a minimalized state is determined by the software, this cannot be configured. It looks to all surrounding nodes and labels to see if anything is too close to it. We might need to revisit the algorithm to improve this behavior. We have recently introduced a feature to make it possible to display all labels when Ctrl+Space is pressed. This feature is available from DataMiner 10.3.0[CU14]/10.4.0[CU2]/10.4.5 onwards.

When you position 2 nodes on top of each other using custom positioning, all edges between those nodes will be hidden. The color of the group node is decided by the order your nodes are returned from the query. It will always be the color of the node that is returned sooner in the query result.
