Create Information Event When New Row is Added to Table

Solved1.50K views6th December 2021alarm template information events

We are using the IP Intel IPMI protocol. In the protocol there is a System Event Log table (see attached image). I would like to create an information event (that will in the end trigger a correlation rule and send a slack message) whenever a new row is added to this table. I have tried setting this up in the alarm template (see 2nd attached image), but it does not create information events.

Note that if I set up a warning high alarm with * it does create an alarm for every new row. The problem with using warning high is that the element will then stay in an alarm state forever.

Is there some known reason that info messages do not work for this parameter?

Hey Jim,

Wild cards are currently not supported yet, however we are working on it as we speak. For number or string parameters the logic is getting extended to support ? or * in the value.

See below task reference for tracking:

Hi Jim,

The row in your alarm template is not monitoring (first checkbox).
Could you enable that checkbox and try again?

I just tried (with a discreet param) and it worked for me.
