I’m developing an SNMP connector using my DaaS environment for testing it and would like to test it with a device in the customer lab. What configurations are required on my DaaS system or on the client side to enable communication between my DaaS system and the test device?
Hi there,
Could you please send a mail with the dataminer.servics dms name to daas@dataminer.services so we can look into the issue?
The Solution for Curiosity was specifying a DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name System) hostname in the cloud server configuration instead of directly using an IP address for the element configuration.
This approach leverages the DDNS hostname, which dynamically maps to a public IP address assigned by the ISP to the modem. By using the DDNS name, the setup becomes more flexible and adaptable to potential changes in the IP address. During testing, the DDNS hostname is utilized in the DataMiner element configuration.
It looks like this question has already been answered in the comments. To make it clear that this question no longer requires an answer, I have added this pro forma answer so that we can mark it as resolved.
Just to add that this device in customer lab is directly exposed to internet with a public ip address. Also the unit is pingable and can be accessed via web ui.
Ireasoning SNMP is working from customer pc as well as cmd based snmpwalk tool.
