Hi team,
A customer inquired about the possibility of combining a floorplan with a network topology view to make troubleshooting faster and more intuitive. Their idea is to map devices like switches and Wi-Fi access points (and the associated links) onto their floorplan, allowing operators to easily locate errors.
Is this achievable using Low Code Apps, similar to the integration of element data and links within the maps component in Low Code Apps or are there alternative approaches, such as utilizing Visio diagrams?
Thanks in advance for your insights!
Hi Lars,
Yes, this is definitely possible using the Visual Overview. You can create custom floor plans in Microsoft Visio, and we can display these visuals while overlaying additional context, such as alarm severities or metrics.
For Low-Code Apps, we're currently experimenting with similar functionality within templates. Right now, templates are primarily used in tables, grids, and timelines. However, we're exploring ways to develop one or more templates that incorporate the same contextual enhancements available in the Visual Overview. This is still in the experimental phase, but the early results are promising. More updates to come!
