Hello Dojo,

We are noticing during a ConnectionTester.Services that it is "Validating Dataminer CloudGateway with internet access at http://IP:5100"

Do you know why do we need port 5100 when we try to connect Dataminer to the cloud?"

In our documentation, we note that the port 5100 is used for internal network communication and not open internet traffic. The requirements and security for DataMiner cloud:

Hi Ryan,

My guess is that the ConnectionTester is telling you that it's connecting to the cloudgateway at <IP> over NATS (port 5100) in order to validate whether that cloudgateway has a connection to dataminer.services (internet).

This does not mean that the cloudgateway needs port 5100 to have open internet access, only that the ConnectionTester is connecting to that port.
