Hi Dojo

We are considering a clean install of Windows where Dataminer is currently installed.
We will not get a backup of DataMiner at that time, but would like to retain the license.
Will the license be retained if we keep the request and response files?
Mac address will not be changed as the same H/W will be used.

Hi Yuki,

This will depend on the type of license you currently use. A demo license (using the response.lic file) will be broken by a reinstall of the OS, while a full production license (using the dataminer.lic) won't be broken by a reinstall.

In any case, if you experience any licensing issue, just email the request.lic file to dataminer.licensing@skyline.be and we'll provide you with an updated license file for your DataMiner System as soon as possible.

Bert
