Hi all,

is there a list of devices that are supported by the Cisco Manager connector (Catalog (dataminer.services))?

In this case, the request is to monitor and manage Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series Switches.

The purpose of the Cisco Manager Connector is to support the Catalyst access series switches for monitoring purposes (2xxx,3xxx,4xxx, 8xxx, 9xxx, etc.) - basically the access layer switch series.

In case you've switches for datacenter & cloud purposes such as Nexus series or Cisco MDS or an aggregation MS series switch, the latter is supported commercially through a different connector.

In a nutshell, commercially we:

  • support the catalyst family switches through one connector: the cisco manager connector

Then:

  • The Nexus family have a different commercial connector
  • The MDS family have a different commercial connector
  • The ASR Aggregation Routers have a different commercial connector
  • The NCS routers have a different commercial connector
