Change protocol name?

In some cases the protocol name as seen in Cube does not reflect reality and can be misleading. For instance "Harris Flexiva 10KW IRTFM Np1 " is a quite old transmitter and may have evolved into more power options and may even be called something else on the label but still using the same protocol. Can we change the protocol name ourselves or is that something that would be a change of the driver xml and thus would have to be done and signed by Skyline and treated as a new driver version?

Hi Roger,

In order to change the name of a protocol, the corresponding .xml needs to be modified, which will be assumed by DataMiner as a new unsigned protocol, as it didn't pass to the Skyline development pipelines. The driver version will be the one used in the referred modified .xml file.

Regards
