Is there a way to execute a standalone activity individually (manually or programatically) without the need to create a process definition?
For example to test the activity, sent just a report/mail, trigger an activity that has failed with the same input.

Similar to being able to test profile loads in an SRM context (PLS Tester), we should have the ability to test PA activities without a process (PAT Tester). Today, this is still a roadmap item - but I fully agree, now that we have released the new version of the PA module, this needs to become a high prio item !
Pls contact the PO or Prod Mgr for short term workarounds : there is a way to test PA activities be it not frictionless yet.
