Hi Dojo,

I would like to know which policy is the best option to upgrade a failover pair, with the intention to avoid any critical issue during the upgrade and when it is finished.

Which one is recommended?

The recommended policy is “Upgrade main and backup Agent simultaneously”. For more information: https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Advanced_Functionality/DataMiner_Agents/Upgrading_a_DMA/Upgrading_a_DataMiner_Agent_in_System_Center.html

Just curious, as why do the other options exist if that is not the recommended way to upgrade?

Marieke Goethals [SLC] [DevOps Catalyst] commented 20th December 2022

The other options are legacy options. These will most likely be removed some time in the future. I’ll make sure this gets clarified in the documentation.

Thanks Marieke!
