Hello everyone,
Currently, we have four DMAs operating in a cluster, all running version 10.4.0.0-15000-CU8, with each DMA licensed for 500 elements. The DMS currently has approximately 700 elements distributed across the four DMAs.
We are planning to upgrade the DMS to a newer version. However, before proceeding with the upgrade, we need to migrate the elements currently hosted on DMA #3 and DMA #4 to DMA #1 and DMA #2, while preserving all associated data, historical information, and configuration.
DMA #3 and DMA #4 will be removed from the architecture, so it is critical to ensure that no existing information or historical data is lost during the migration.
Currently, the system does not have external OpenSearch or Cassandra instances. We are only using the local Cassandra instances on each DMA.
Could you please advise us on the recommended procedure for performing this migration, ensuring that all historical data is preserved and that there is no impact on the DMS operation?
We would greatly appreciate your guidance and recommendations.
Best regards,
Hi Juan,
As a starting point, please refer to the element migration documentation here.
In addition, there are previous Dojo questions that provide more detail on the process here and here.
From what you describe as this is critical in nature and more of a bulk migration, I suggest reaching out to your Technical Account Manager for some specific advice to your deployment and environment.
