Any solution to monitor DNS resolving of STaaS domain names?

Hi Dojo,

for STaaS to function properly, the DMAs need to be able to resolve the STaaS domain names, for western Europe that is
- evhns-cs-prod-weu-001.servicebus.windows.net
- stdmsqueueprodweu.queue.core.windows.net
- cloudstorage-weu.dataminer.services,

by acquiring the needed information with the help of the configured DNS server.

However, in case the DNS server is unreachable or is misconfigured (as was the case recently in our environment), the connection to STaaS fails. This in itself is made visible by corresponding alarms in the DMS.

Does anyone know of some DataMiner implementation already in place or any other way to monitor if the STaaS domain names are actually resolvable and reachable? This can be achieved manually on the DMA, of course, but such a monitoring would contribute directly to identifying the root cause for such a STaaS connection failure more rapidly.

Thanks a lot for your thoughts!
