Alerter – Balloon pop-up not displayed

Hi DOJO,

All of a sudden, the balloon pop-up from the Skyline Alerter no longer appears. The alarm sound still plays, and I can see the Skyline Alerter notification when pressing Alt + Tab, but the actual pop-up window is not visible on the screen.

I’ve checked the AlerterSettings.xml file, and the configuration there seems to be correct.

I wasn’t able to locate any log file for the Skyline Alerter app. Could you please confirm if one exists, and if so, where it can be found?

Additionally, do you have any idea of what could cause this issue or how to resolve it?

Hi Catarina,

That's indeed unexpected.
Have any changes been made to the system that could correlate with when this issue started? Possible changes could include an upgrade of the alerter application, the DataMiner system, the .NET Framework, or a Windows upgrade.

Hi Michiel,
Nothing of the sort happened.

I looked at the configuration again, and I had the automatically hide balloon. However, even when disabling this setting, the issue remains.
