Alarms and display key for the view table

Hi All,

I would like to ask some questions about the alarms and the display key for the view tables. There are some view tables in the drivers in which the value is duplicated from the original table using the “duplicateAs” option, and some columns of those view tables are alarmed. I would like to know what will happen if we have a display key in the original table and an alarm triggered in the view table. Will the display key show on the alarm entry? Furthermore, shall we alarm the parameters in the view table?

Thanks!

Hi,

A view table is intended to give a “view” on how a parameter looks like. This should be looked at as a query that is only being executed when opening a card (like an element card). As this is only a view, it must not be monitored. It is the intention that alarming/trending happens on the parameter that has the real value, not on the view parameter.

Regards,
