Hello Dojo,
I want to be able to set a hysteresis on an a alarm going from "Major" --> "Normal" severity. I.e. it stays at a Major level for 500s before being downgraded to "Normal". How do I create a custom threshold to set Normal as the Threshold?
Thank you in advance.
Hey Ryan,
I'm not sure if this is possible. You could set a hysteresis on Major alarms, but I believe this will start counting once it leaves the major state. I don't think it's possible to indicate that hysteresis should only trigger between two exact states.
(can someone else confirm this?)
Hey Ryan,
That is correct. But do take into account that this will also be the behavior when it moves to another state.
eg. when it goes from critical high to minor high, it will also stay on critical high for 500s.
Hello Ryan,
DataMinerDocs refers to Assigning alarm severity levels to values of analog parameters to specify monitoring from one state to another.
Configuring alarm hysteresis in an alarm template describes how to pick specific alarmlevels to apply hysteresis to. Indeed, the alarmlevel 'Normal' is not supported yet.
You can suggest this new feature here.
Kind regards,
Hi Maxim, thank you for the response. So in this case you have posted here when the Alarm moves from a state of “Critical High” –> “Normal”. Should it stay in the state of “Critical High” for 500s before moving to “Normal”?
